The Miracles Baseball Academy is a
Non-Profit 501©3 Organization composed of professionally trained
student-athletes from Greater Houston area schools and the South
Texas region. Miracles offers a wide range of instruction
through baseball camps, clinics, private lessons, college showcases,
teams (ages 9U thru 18U), and public speaking.
Miracles, a Christian organization, is designed to assist student-athletes of all ages in improving their baseball and softball abilities in addition to reinforcing strong academics, character building, positive leadership skills, Judeo-Christian ethics and community service (Baseball Clinics for the Houston Astros, Area Little Leagues & Sports Associations, and more). Since 1999, Houston Miracles Teams competed and placed in numerous national tournaments. The 18- & 17-year-old teams competed in Division 1 Universities, Junior College tournaments, & other Showcases. In 2003, the 11 & Under Team placed 2nd in the Super Series Nationals in Colorado Springs and also placed in the USSSA World Series in Gulfport, Mississippi. The 13 & Under Team competed in a World Series tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma and our 14 & Under Team competed here in Houston. In 2004, the 16 & Under and 18 & Under teams placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the AAU Nationals in Orlando.
In 2003, the 16 & Under National Team placed 3rd in the Junior Olympics in Detroit, Michigan. Our teams showed much success in 2004 and 2005. In 2005, our 18 & Under team placed well in the nationally known Louisiana All-Star Classic, Louisville Slugger Classic, and in the Perfect Game Tournament held in Houston. In 2006, our 18U team placed in the Connie Mack State Qualifier. Our 16 & Under team has completed in the AAU Junior Olympics in New Orleans n 2005 and in 2006 in Florida while our other teams showed success by developing their skills both on and off the field representing Miracles very well. Our new 9U AA Team are very successful by placing 1st or 2nd in most of their tournaments in 2007. In the Spring of 2007 our 14U team was ranked 1st in the State and 3rd in the Nation by USSSA Power Ratings. In 2008, Our 18U Graduate team became State & Regional Champions advancing to play in the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, Mew Mexico, one of the highest premier venues during the summer season. We played in front of crowds over 12,000 with extensive scouting and media coverage. Various Miracles Teams won or were top finishers since 2009. Miracles Girls Fastpitch 16U Softball Team kicked off its 1st Season as we look to succeed there also. The Miracles Baseball Academy helps young athletes to pursue higher education with many earning college scholarships: 250+ players in our first ten years have moved on to play for junior college and college programs, along with 11 players drafted directly into professional baseball. Five players have made it to the Major League, Chris Young, Daryl Jones, 2 are Astros: J.R.Towles and Jason Bourgeous. Miracles held its first ever College Conference and Evaluation Showcase in December, 2004, where college coaches and pro scouts from 2-4 states attended, spoke and held instructional clinics, games, plus skill evaluations along with Miracles staff. The event grew to coaches from all collegiate levels representing five states in December, 2006 and has since then blossomed with much popularity as we aim to make our 9th Annual Event our best ever.
